SOMEONE LOST THEIR MARBLES in the desert of Las Cruces, New Mexico. I know because I FOUND THEM !!! Funny thing is that I found each one on consecutive days and in varying locations, miles apart, as I was rock hunting around the region. I can only surmise that losing one’s marbles in the wastelands around Las Cruces is a rather common occurrence… - OR - ... the gods had me strolling in the same path as the one poor soul who lost them all. COINCIDENCE ? What are the odds ? So, if you are the sad soul, { or souls }, who lost their marbles in the desert, PLEASE e-mail or LEAVE A COMMENT with a description of them - AND - IF IT'S A MATCH, I'LL SEND THEM BACK TO YOU ASAP ! I really don’t need anyone else’s marbles. I still have all of my own. I know because I checked. Thank you. In the meantime, supposing that Abraham Lincoln was correct when he said, “MOST FOLKS ARE ABOUT AS HAPPY AS THEY MAKE UP THEIR MINDS TO BE.”, just for today, I WILL BE HAPPY ! How ‘bout you ?

Mulberry Blossoms at Sunset - click to enlarge It isn't the thing you do; It's the thing you leave undone, Which gives you a bit of heartache At the setting of the sun. The tender word forgotten, The letter you did not write, The flower you might have sent, Are the haunting ghosts at night. The stone you might have lifted Out of a brother's way, The bit of heartsome counsel You were hurried too much to say; The loving touch of the hand, The gentle and winsome tone, That you had no time or thought for With troubles enough of your own. The little acts of kindness, So easily out of mind; Those chances to be helpful Which everyone may find - No, it's not the thing you do, It's the thing you leave undone, Which gives you the bit of heartache At the setting of the sun.
